Lions Fall in Kings Cup Finale

The Lions dug themselves a deep hole with a short bench, but a strong comeback attempt fell just short as the Lions fell in the inaugural Kings Cup Championship game to CSUN. CSUN came out blazing and led LMU 4-0 after the first period. In the 2nd, the Lions stormed back, to score three goals. First, Tracy carried the puck wide and went around the goalie to score the first. Then, Martins slammed home a loose puck on the power play to make it 4-2. Tracy scored the third LMU goal at the 10 minute mark in the 2nd to make it 4-3, but the Lions wouldn’t find the equalizer, and CSUN topped it off with an empty net goal to seal their victory. The Lions season concluded with the loss and now the team will look forward to next season!
