Lion’s Fall Just Short of Big Upset

The Lions played a tough game with a vastly injury depleted bench, and took Cal State Northridge to the final seconds in a 4-3 loss. The Lions got down 4-0 early in the second. The Lions offense came to life, with Paynter tipping in a power play goal. The freshman Tsokolas crashed the net from the point to make it a 4-2 game. In the third, Lovelace shot from the point and it deflected in to make it a one goal game. The Lions couldn’t find the equalizer though, and fall to CSUN 4-3. The Lions hope to heal up by their big Tuesday contest against Cal Lutheran in the Kings Cup first round.
