The 2018/19 LMU Hockey schedule is now released. You can check out the full schedule HERE.
The Lions will play 14 WCHC games this year, as the conference expanded to 8 teams. In addition to these conference games, the Lions will play USC, SDSU, UCLA and SJSU. In addition, the Lions will travel for the first time to Colorado, to play Colorado St and Metro State Denver. In January, the Lions will head to Texas for the 2nd time, and will play University of Texas and Texas A&M.
The team will hold 3 promoted free bus games for students. October 4th is Freshman night, as the Lions host USC. The first 100 students to enter will get a free shirt. On Saturday 12/1, the Lions host LBSU and will wear special “Ugly Christmas Sweater” jerseys, and hold their first “Teddy Bear Toss” for charity. Following the 12/1 game, all fans are welcome to stay and public skate for free with the team. Finally, the last free bus game of the year is 1/30, as the Lions will host SJSU for Senior Night.
The Lions will be looking to make a run in the WCHC tournament this season, as the WCHC champion will get an auto-bid to the ACHA West Regionals this season.
