Lions Can’t Hold On, Net Tie vs. NAU…

The Lions had a four goal lead twice on Saturday afternoon, but couldn’t keep NAU from surging back into the game, eventually ending with a 7-7 tie after Overtime. The Lions stormed out of the gates, leading 4-1 after the first. But late in the 2nd, a costly penalty set the wheels in motion for a NAU comeback, scoring 3 goals in the final 3 minutes to make it 6-5 after 2. In the third, the Lions would score first to make it 7-5, but NAU would again score 2 late goals to tie it. In Overtime, the Lions had nearly all of the chances, including 2 breakaways, but couldn’t convert. The game ended in a 7-7 tie. The Lions are back after Thanksgiving break to play two final games this semester. On 12/1 the Lions host CSUF and on 12/4 the Lions play in the Kings Cup Semi-Finals vs. UCLA in Burbank.
