The Lions lost a back and forth game to CSU Fullerton on Saturday at home, 7-5. The Titans would score first, on a power play in the second period. They would score 3 power play goals on the night, as the short benched Lions took 14 minutes of penalties in the game. The Lions would come back though with 3 goals from freshman Chris Manzer, and 2 from Junior Eric Anderson, the Lions would score to tie the game at 4-4 midway through the third period on the hat trick goal for Chris Manzer (his 7th in 3 games). Moments later Anderson would score from the same spot on the opposite wing, firing home a shot over the glove of the Titan net minder. But a seeing eye shot from the point would tie it at 5-5 moments later, and the Titans would take the lead for good with 9 minutes to play in the game, scoring an eventual empty net goal to win 7-5.
The Lions will be back to full strength next weekend, as they travel to Long Beach to take on LBSU in another huge conference game.
