Lions Sweep UCSB

The Lions swept UCSB, with a 6-3 win on Saturday night to finish the weekend series.  The Lions had an even scoring attack this game, with Hertz, Clem, Billings, Penn and Johnson scoring for the Lions.  Billings, who had two goals on the game, finished the weekend with three.  Clem notched his fifth goal of the weekend.  The Lions scored 3 shorthanded goals in the game, which was only possible with the great penalty trouble the Lions got into throughout the game.  Freshman Grant Campbell got the win, his fourth of the season.  The Lions finished their WCHC schedule with a 12-2 record, and currently sit in first place in the conference, though 2 teams can pass them possibly.  With a 17-4-1 record on the season, the Lions are looking to win out their remaining 8 games to make a run into regionals for the third time in team history.  Next up, the Lions travel to Texas to take on UT and Texas A&M.
