The Lions played an unusually penalty filled game Friday night at Fullerton, with 28 calls being made during the contest. The Lions jumped out to a first period 3-0 lead, and things took a turn for the penalty box for both teams. Throughout the game the Lions lost James Andrews and Trevor Tracy for the remainder of the contest. The Lions spread out the scoring, with Martins, Tracy, Vitta and Costin notching the four goals, and sophomore goalie Jake Blazier facing 44 shots in the 4-3 victory. It was the Lions first WCHC victory of the season, and snapped three straight games of third period lead losses. Next week the Lions are on the road at UCLA and home vs. NAU D3.
