The Lions will host their first ever Christmas Game, on Saturday 12/1 vs. Long Beach. The Lions will wear special “Ugly Christmas Sweater” jerseys, with select jerseys being auctioned off during the game. Proceeds from the jersey sales will benefit St. Josephs Center to help brighten a child’s holiday this year. The team will also be doing a Teddy Bear Toss, where fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal, and after LMU scores their first goal of the game, fans should throw the stuffed animals onto the ice. These will also be collected for the same charity!
Jerseys: Fans can bid on jerseys throughout the game, with a starting price of $60. All net proceeds of the jerseys will be donated on behalf of the team to the charity. These are a one of a kind jersey, and will not be remade for any future game.
Teddy Bear Toss: We encourage fans to bring any new stuffed animal, and donate it to the charity by throwing it onto the ice after the Lions score their first goal. All the animals will be collected to be donated.
Student Fan Bus: Students can get a free ride to the game by signing up for the bus. The bus sign ups will be Friday, 11/30, from 4-6 PM at the Lair Patio. The bus will leave campus on 12/1 at 4:50PM and return to campus after the game.
