Geeza, Blazier, Lead Lions to Win, Weekend Split

CJ Geeza, coming off a lower body injury, did all he could to lead the Lions to Victory, with 3 goals in a 5-2 win over San Jose State University, at home on Saturday night.  The Lions never trailed in the game, with Matt Boente and Jake Herzog netting the other goals.  Freshman Eric Johnson had two assists as well.  Senior, Jake Blazier, in only his second start of the season due to injury, led the Lions with timely saves throughout the game.  This was a strong bounce back performance after losing on Thursday night at UCLA, surrendering a 3-1 lead in the 2nd.

The Lions, who have won 6 of their last 7 games, will look to keep it going next week as they face off against CSU Fullerton, for their 2nd game of the season.  The Lions won the last contest 4-3, and this game faces off at Fullerton, at 9:15 PM on October 27th.
